Client Highlight: Jenny & Joe

I recently had the opportunity to do a portrait session for a lovely couple upstate, and I'm excited to share some insights into how it all went down.

Our shoot was scheduled for one hour and included some cool drone shots. I shot the session with my Sony a7IV and Sony a7iii cameras and I used 3 main lenses: the Sony 50mm 1.2, Sony 24-70mm 2.8, and Sony 70-200 2.8. The star of the show was the 50mm lens, which works wonders for portraits, so I planned our session around it.

We kicked things off with a casual chat while exploring the property to find the best spots for photos. As we chatted and wandered, I started snapping some candid shots to help everyone ease into the session. Once we felt comfortable, we moved into the planned, more posed part of the shoot.

Throughout the session, my main focus was on getting the right composition. We made sure to capture close-ups and details, aiming to balance the couple's presence with the natural beauty of the Adirondack Park. To achieve this balance, we incorporated some drone shots, offering a unique perspective on our portraits.

If you're interested in capturing your own special moments and creating lasting memories, don't hesitate to reach out. I'd love to chat with you about how we can make your photography vision come to life!
